I am a newbie to the business:)

I really need help with creating layouts in Photoboof software.  Also I can't seem to figure out how to get my printer to make strips.  Like cutting the picture into two strips.

    Hello Reena,

I would recommend using purchased templates from a source like our own Design Shop to get started. This will allow you to quickly have a great design to offer you client and allow you to learn how to structure your elements. In time you'll learn lots of tricks and likely be comfortable to attempt designing your own or a complement of purchased and DIY.

As far as cutting strips you can do this under the Windows driver's advanced settings. Depending on the manufacturer of the printer it will be slightly different. Definitely refer to their website for the proper instructions on doing this.
